Provo, Rexburg, Provo, Rexburg

Okay, so since the last time I wrote, we've done as we promised and really researched going to Provo vs San Francisco. Don't get me wrong, we both want to be somewhere much cooler, and a little less crazy mormon someday, but BYU is suuuuch a good place to be for students. We met with an advisor in the Industrial Design Program last friday, and she laid it on Chance that he was NOT going to get a job in Transportation design no matter what. Which is ridiculous, maybe the job market there is slim, but who's to say he wouldn't be the one they hired? She was a little rude on the matter, frankly. Regardless, she advised him on how to go about the program, how BYU's ID program goes, and some good ways to double count classes for major and GE req's, which is cool. He has to bring his GPA up here at BYUI and then get the paperwork together to transfer down there. We have toyed with the idea of getting a duplex with Chance's parents, and wouldn't you know, his dad found a house for sale that comes with an accessory apartment! If they could get it, they'd definitely have renters! Woop! lol. It'd be funny if that works out, a definite "Duh! Go here!" sign. The good thing about transferring to BYU is that his GE credits here at BYUI transfer pretty cleanly down to BYU regardless of actually obtaining an associates degree. Also, we can graduate with next to no debt, as opposed to S.F. where it'd be more like 80-90K in school debt. Cost of living is cheaper in Provo, and we have lots of friends we love there! Win Win Win! I'm excited to see how it all actually pans out, but it does look like we're Provo bound sometime!
